Setting Expectations Presented by: Dr. Tony Nunez, Associate Dean, The Graduate School Dr. Judith Stoddart, Senior Associate Dean, The Graduate School Graduate program handbooks provide valuable information about the expectations and values of the specific programs. However, many expectations concerning graduate education are not always obvious or explicit, and misalignment of the expectations of students and their faculty advisors can be the source of conflicts and result in wasted time. Career Planning and Student Success Presented by: Dr. Rique Campa, Associate Dean, The Graduate School Dr. Julie Rojewski Wilson, The Graduate School In this workshop, graduate students will learn about the diversity of professional development programs and resources that the Graduate School offers to help them plan their academic or non-academic career paths.  9:00 AM in the Lake Erie Room 9:25 AM in the Lake Erie Room

5 Graduate Student Welcoming Contest
Prizes Lunch for 5 graduate students with Dean Thomas Jeitschko 250 Printed Business Cards Teaching Books Pizza Party in Chittenden Commons Tickets are handed out at the Mini- Workshops. Put the TICKET in the box outside the Lake Huron Room. (Keep the other half.) Must be present to win. Winners announced at the Welcome which begins at 10:15 in the Lake Huron Room.
