FCA Security Gateway restricting full diagnostics by Independent multi-brand equipment which is non compliant with Euro 5/6 legislation

Problem
VMs are still pushing on ExVe (Extended Vehicle) to provide In-Vecle Data Access to the Aftermarket
Last year the Commission asked AFCAR to be involved in a Proof of Concept together with ACE and CLEPA on the capabilities of ExVe to satisfy the requirements from all stakeholders.
Activities done
Created a Steering Committee and 3 UC Groups without agreeing on the ToR/GR
Completed the Remote Diagnostics UC

Problem
VM are increasingly using Cybersecurity to lobbying the legislator in order to (potentially) limiting the possibility for the IAM to get access to in-vehicle diagnostics/maintenance data and, as consequence, be competitive in the AM repair industry.
