JAMES 4:11-12 Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?

Alistair Begg Every day, in a thousand ways, we are tempted to make ourselves the center of the universe. One of the ways in which I know I’m the center of the universe is when I think I’m better than everyone else. It helps me to feel much more important when I can pass along a little something that makes someone else look bad"
15
Matthew 12:34-36 You brood of vipers! How can you speak good, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. The good person out of his good treasure brings forth good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure brings forth evil.

Jerry Bridges The sin of Judgmentalism is one of the most subtle of our “respectable” sins because it is often practices under the guise of being zealous for what is right. It’s obvious that within our conservative evangelical circles there are myriads of opinions on everything from theology to conduct to lifestyle and politics…
17
Jerry Bridges …Not only are there multiple opinions but we usually assume our opinion is correct. That’s where our trouble with judgmentalism begins. We equate our opinions with truth…and then we hide our judgmentalism under the cloak of Christian convictions.

We Judge Sinfully When…
We Don’t Have All the Facts We JUDGE Based On Our PERSONAL CONVICTION, rather than CLEAR, BIBLICAL TRUTH We JUDGE Others By a DIFFERENT STANDARD than we JUDGE OURSELVES WE JUDGE MOTIVES, rather than Clear, Verifiable Behavior WE MAGNIFY Others’ Sins While MINIMIZING/IGNORING Our Own…
