One Glasgow Reducing Offending
One Glasgow Reducing Offending is a unique, multi-agency partnership, focusing mainly on young people aged 12-25yrs, who are involved in, or at risk of becoming involved in the criminal justice system in Glasgow, including those leaving prison and secure care. Police Scotland are tactical lead for this work stream, with Community Justice Glasgow, strategic lead.

The Referral Journey To Identify, via – Police systems
Directly from Police officers Analytical products from Neighbourhoods and Sustainability department Campus officers Social Work Department Early and Effective Intervention (EEI) team Recently BTP to identify the ‘right young person’. Discuss fully with Social Work to ensure no duplication of services, meets the needs of the young person/care plan.

The Referral Journey Refer- One Glasgow complete initial referral, highlighting any known risk/s and pass to Social Work for update and approval of allocated worker. Social Work forward the referral to relevant Partner Service Manager. Services Engage young person/family, and sign up process is completed. Signed consent form passed to One Glasgow.

The Referral Journey Monitor- PNC marker added with details of service (for Includem and AFC only) and nominal added to weekly analyst exception list. Offending monitored weekly and details passed directly to the service managers. Local officers aware and pass further concerns/updates to One Glasgow, who pass on, if relevant.

The Referral Journey Support- is key to the partnerships, and close relationships and trust have been built up over a number of years. One Glasgow provide relevant information to staff (if relevant, justified and proportionate), sometimes on a daily basis, and hold regular (fortnightly/monthly/quarterly depending on service) operational meetings with Social Work to discuss individual care plans.

Other Key Delivery Activity
One Glasgow have progressed the planning and continued testing of the ‘Clean Slate Project’, which aims to ‘roll up’ outstanding warrants and complaints for those in custody within the SPS estate. This reduces a quick return to custody, which acts as a barrier to engagement with prison and community interventions. One Glasgow have contributed to 3 ‘Operation Modulus’ initiatives and led on ‘Project Diversion’ in Govanhill. One Glasgow has recently been involved in partnership initiatives in Drumchapel, Shettleston, Haghill, Govan, Gorbals and Pollok. One Glasgow have hosted three ‘Lets Get…’ Partnership and Networking Events, which has increased awareness of services and the complex delivery environment in Glasgow, increased connections and opportunities to leverage existing resources and have increased learning to shape future events and delivery. One Glasgow has developed the ‘Better Me…’ Programme at Westmuir and Cartvale Schools in Glasgow. Attend and support Greater Glasgow Multi Agency Tasking And Co-ordinating Meeting (MATAC) at Eastgate. Interim GDPR agreements
