How to set up your Biography
Open the document “yourname_biography” This is the document you will be working on to make your biography. When you finish, you will save it to this computer but “save as” and change the file name to.. I have started setting up your biography (there is a title page and chapter 1.) Set up the remaining chapters (2-5) by pasting the questions from the power point. After you paste them start a new page. Click, “insert”, “break”, “page break” After the last chapter page must be your “work cited page.” I will show you how to set this up in class.

Chapters Alexander’s Beginnings: Where he came from when? Who were his parents? How was his home life? What education did he have? Analyze how his upbringing (home/education) affected him? Who is Bucephalus? Alexander’s Rise to Power: How did he come to power? How was he different/the same as his father? What did he do with his power? What can you infer about Alexander’s character?

Chapters 3. Alexander goes to war with Persia: Why did he go to war? How did the war develop? Describe his methods/philosophies of fighting and compare it to the Persian ways of fighting. What routes did he travel during his wars? What were some of the major battles and people he fought? Who did he fight with? Who were his friends? How long did he fight?

Chapters 4. Alexander’s end: How did his wars end?How did he die? What were the consequences of Alexander’s death for his empire and the world? 5. What does it all mean? What did Alexander accomplish during his 33 years on the earth? How did these accomplishments affect the world then and now? What is Hellenism? Was he “great?” What critique would you offer of Alexander?

Details - Due Monday, May 10 – NO EXTENSIONS!
This assignment is worth 500 points - The end product will only be worth 100 points. The other 400 points will be made up of assignments connected to the end product. Must be in “book format” – with a cover 5 (book sized) pages of text 1 page per chapter Pages must be typed 5 illustrations with captions (1 illustration per chapter) Must have a Work Cited Page Must have 3 written sources (books, magazines) Must have 5 “other” sources (internet, movies) You will have time to work on it in class and will be responsible for daily status report exit slips

Work Cited Page Is a record of every source you used
Each source should be number “Work Cited” should be underlined and centered in the page You should use MLA bibliographic citation -See Example

Assignment 45 Points: Complete the web quest
Web site is: Answer the questions on a separate MS Word document (1-11) and the “Big Question” You will hand this in!
