The action of moving residence (where you live) usually across international borders. This can be a permanent or temporary move Immigrants to Canada: Persons residing (living) in Canada who were born outside of this country

Refers to the country that you left. E.g. “my parents EMIGRATED from Korea’ Migration: The movement of where you live - either local or international, and can be for a specified time
