2 The test is based on this slide
It assesses your ability to: Explain and apply the concepts listed here. Apply knowledge based on the core content Locate some Pacific Island nations on a map Use FACKTS

3 What will the test involve?
There are fourteen questions in the test. Some questions are Achieved questions (A), some are Merit (M), and some are Excellence (E). Excellence questions require you to explain your answer in more depth. This means answering in full sentences and providing evidence where possible. Some questions are based on resources provided (articles), and others are based on the case studies you’ve done in class. There are two (Achieved) questions based on Pacific Island mapping and FACKTS

4 You will be well prepared for the test if you can do these things:
Explain in your own words what each of the 5 concepts for this topic means e.g. an impact is something that happens as a result of something else. Give a specific example from a case study you’ve looked at that shows what each of the concepts refers to e.g. one of the impacts of climate change for people in Kiribati is that their houses are flooded during high tides, so they have no dry place to live Locate the Pacific Island nations you’ve studied on a map and use FACKTS correctly Use evidence (specific real life examples) to back up your points Select relevant information from text in order to answer a question
