1. Epic Disaster Recovery Test - June 9th
Our primary Epic servers are located at the Epic data center in Verona, WI. 
We have a complete duplication of our primary servers at the Epic disaster recovery site in Rochester, MN. 
In the event of a failure or disaster at the Verona Data Center our system will failover to the disaster recovery site in Rochester.
 We will test this failover functionality on June 9th by switching our system to Rochester and test critical functions. 
This will require a 5-hour system downtime for Epic from 12:05 AM until 5:00 AM on June 9th. 
Follow standard downtime procedures and utilize the Epic Read Only Environment (SRO) during the downtime.

2. Epic Read Only Environment (SRO)
MLH’s Business Continuity Access (BCA) Shadow Read Only (SRO) environment provides access to a read only version of Epic just before the downtime.
This allows patient care to continue using the same workstations without printing numerous reports.
This should be your first resource during a downtime before proceeding to BCA Web or the BCA Workstation.

3. How it will Work
During a downtime go to the MLH intranet and hover over the Clinical Applications sub header. Click on EPIC and then EPIC Portal.
Login to Citrix with your credentials.
Click on SRO icon and again login using your MLH credentials
Upon login, the environment will display “Read-Only Mode”.

4. USE NETWORK SIGN ON TO ACCESS ALL BELOW
