Activity Each group has a “shallow grave” to investigate. Send 1-2 investigators from your group (with gloves on) to investigate the scene. Their job is to uncover the bones and place the crime scene markers next to each of the uncovered bones. Send a photographer to photograph the scene. Send your photograph to Ms. Reed ( ) to print out and paste in the space below: Send a different set of investigators to your group’s “shallow grave.” Sketch the placement of the bones, including the crime scene markers next to the bones in the space below: Remove as much soil as possible from the bones and take the bones to your table. Complete the chart below: (#, name of bone, length, width, other characteristics) Answer the analysis questions.
