4. University of Information Technology
UCSY (Bahan Campus) is opened as Center of Excellence (COE) on 3rd December, 2012.
On 15th January, 2015, UCSY(Bahan Campus) is officially re-named and established as University of Information Technology (UIT).
UIT was established with aims of :
Endorsing the universities’ standard in Myanmar to international standard
Producing computer professionals and skilled workers
Encouraging the research and development in ICT sector

Myanmar Research and Education Network (mmREN) at UCSY
Since 2012, UCSY has contributed to establishing mmREN that is set to become a digital platform for all universities in the country
In 24th Dec 2018, The Trans-Eurasia Information Network (TEIN), a dedicated high-capacity research and education network in the Asia-Pacific region, has recently connected the Myanmar Research and Education Network (mmREN) at a capacity of 45 Mbps
