Jhn 17:1 Jesus spoke these things – “Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son, that the Son may glorify You. Prologue: Mtt 6:32,33 Behold, an hour is coming, and has come, for you to be scattered, each to his own home, and to leave Me alone’ and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage: I have overcome the world.

Pray in a closet??? (Lazarus)
Jhn 17:1 Jesus spoke these things – “Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son, that the Son may glorify You. Pray in a closet??? (Lazarus) Glorify Your Son – arrest, trial, passion/scourged, travel, cross, & death = RESPONSIBILITY/TRUST and COMPLETION = REWARD (attitude = Footprints where one set = desertion or carrying/assistance) (chance to serve God’s will) (suffering bring God glory and may be preparing us for future events

Jhn 17:1 Jesus spoke these things – “Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son, that the Son may glorify You. Son may Glorify You – arrest, trial, passion, travel, cross, death: 12 legions of angels, no anger, no resistance, no justifying or attempt at stopping the process (dumb like a sheep before shearer). I Cor 11:1 Imitators: Be imitators of me, just as I also am of Christ – GLORIFYING THE FATHER!!! Suffering can bring glory to the Father & Suffering may be preparing us for future events
4
2 Cor 11:23,24 beaten times without number, often in danger of death, 5 times received 39 lashes, stoned, 3 times shipwrecked, a night & day in the deep, days of hunger and thirst, suffered cold and exposure Eph 5:1,2 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma. Christ – left heaven; human; misunderstood; rejected; crucified; resurrected; heaven
5
Heb 6:12 …but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises –
Heb 11:32-35a: 32 And what more shall I say? For time will fail me if I tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets, 33 who by faith conquered kingdoms, performed acts of righteousness, obtained promises, shut the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, from weakness were made strong, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight. 35 Women received back their dead by resurrection = BLESSINGS, CUP OVERFLOWS
6
Heb 11: Women received back their dead by resurrection; and others were tortured, not accepting their release, so that they might obtain a better resurrection; 36 and others experienced mocking and scourging, yes, also chains and imprisonment. 37 They were stoned, they were sawn in two, they were tempted, they were put to death with the sword; they went about in sheepskins, in goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, ill- treated 38 (men of whom the world was not worthy), wandering in deserts and mountains and caves and holes in the ground.

Jhn 17:1 Jesus spoke these things – “Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son, that the Son may glorify You. Through blessings or losses we are to bring glory to the Father. Acts 12:22, The people kept crying out, “The voice of a god and not of a man!”23 And immediately an angel of the Lord struck him because he did not give God the glory, and he was eaten by worms and died. I Cor 10:31 Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

Jhn 17:1 Jesus spoke these things – “Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son, that the Son may glorify You. 2 Cor 8:23 As for Titus and for our brethren, they are messengers of the churches, a glory to Christ Heb 12:2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Through blessings or losses we are to bring glory to the Father.
Mtt 5: Matthew 5:13-16 (NASB) 13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men. 14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; 15 nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

Through blessings or losses we are to bring glory to the Father.
Mtt 10:32,33 Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven Denies: Lord, Lord / hypocrites: praying, fasting, giving = worldly reward NOT NOT – heavenly reward. PRAYERS seek to improve our connection with the Father and to ask us be a better light to the world (thy kingdom come, Thy will be done)
