2. Course Description
This course is the first year of a two year course of study.
Students enrolled in this course will take the Algebra 1 Common Core Regents at the end of the second year of study.
Credit Analysis: 1 Credit

Half of the essential five Common Core Units will be taught in this first year.

5. Classroom Policies Assessments: 90% of marking period average
All assessments are announced. Students should study along the way.
Homework: 10% of marking period average
Complete = 2 pt
Incomplete = 1 pt
No HW in class = 0 pt
Homework is assigned daily and can be found on the calendar on my Eschool View.

6. Classroom Policies
If your student is confused on a HW problem they are to write a post it note next to the problem explaining what they DO know and what is confusing them.
Before an assessment they collect the post it notes and attach them on a separate sheet of paper. If they answer the question they wrote in addition to re-answering the question that was assigned they can earn up to 3 extra points on the assessment if they hand it in the day of the assessment.

8. Classroom Policies Assessment Corrections:
Students are able to correct one assessment each marking period.
The corrections must be handed in the next day after the assessment is handed back.
Corrections with the correct solution and an explanation will receive half the points lost.
Grades posted on Infinite Campus. Feel free to me anytime.
