This week was Seuss-tastic!  We celebrated Read Across America Day (Dr. Seuss’ birthday) by reading many of his books, our Scholastic News and dressing up like a Seuss character. This week we’ve been doing an author study on Mo Willems! Our favorite Mo Willems character is the pigeon! We wrote a persuasive piece of writing giving reasons of why we should be able to stay up late – just like pigeon did! We met Elephant and Piggie, too! Reading is so much fun, especially when we get to know the author or illustrator of a book! 
