5 Assertive Discipline 1st problem warning: name on referral
2nd problem: check by name and 15 min. detention – before or after school- 3rd problem referral to the office and call home.

6 Extra Credit Points Extra points are given for work that enhances our knowledge of Hispanic culture. Two per week: newspaper, magazine articles Pre-approved oral report in Spanish Pre-approved topics about Spanish culture Extra work must be turned in on or before the next to last week of the six weeks.

7 Grading procedure 20% oral/aural activities 30% daily grades
20% oral/aural exams 30% major exams/projects 100%

8 Clarification of grades
If a student is present in class and no work is turned in for a grade, the grade will be 5. If a student has worked in class, but did not finish the work assigned, the work in progress must be signed by the teacher or (Sub) to be taken for homework and to be turned in the next day for possible full credit.

9 ¡Éxito! Success! If absent, a student must check lesson plan board to find out past/future assignments Meet with teacher to clarify assignments Retest will be taken on date assigned by teacher. Retests must be taken within 5 days from first administration of the test Grading policy is consistent with school board mandates.
