2. TWIST : In few words
TWIST is a software tool allowing Soleil users to browse and download experimental data stored in the storage facility in NeXus format.
There are two ways to launch TWIST :
As an detached application : Java Web Start
As an applet

4. TWIST : What does-it do?
To retrieve easily NeXus files, each file is associated to an experimental context. It means a set of metadata describing the file (beamline name, experiment type, comment sample, users list…)
Users create search filters to find experimental contexts, and thus their NeXus files.
They can browse NeXus files thanks to the integrated NeXus visualization tool named “Baladi”
They can download files or extract them into a choosen format (the extraction’s process is transparent. It’s done with Nxextract tool)
