Amendment of the Buillding Act in 2016
The purpose was to increase efficiency and growth by simplifying the building case management
The amendment of the law gave basis for creating a certification order for documenting technical circumstances regarding the building regulations

A part of the technical building case management in the municipalities is transferred to certified engineers or fire advisors with the purpose of
Strengthen the foundation for standardization and use of the functional requirements.
Supporting the possibility for increased use of innovative solutions and optimization of the building process.

The certified structural engineer or fire advisor thereby has the qualifications to document and control whether the criteria of BR18 are being abided.
