Simple Steps to Apply for Federal Student Aid through FAFSA Create FSA ID at: student.gov/fsaid Your FSA ID allows you to electronically sign your FAFSA Student and Parent both require FSA IDs Complete FAFSA Application at: fafsa.ed.gov Both parent’s and your social security numbers Any untaxed income statements (i.e. child support – if applicable) Current bank and asset statements (if applicable)

The term “college” refers to the attainment of valuable postsecondary credentials beyond Ford High School, including professional/technical certificates and academic degrees. College is no longer just defined as an individual pursuing a degree at a two-year or four-year institution.
