1
Advance automatic RF shutdown
2
Terminate on RX functions
Posible to terminate on three (3) individual criteria RSSI below threshold Preamble quality not reached Sync word is incorrect To test this we created a test case where the system would exercise all three events in sequence Measured data (including startup, capacitor charge effects, other board issues…)
3
No RF signal found (RSSI failed)
In this example the TX did not send a packet The RX discovers that the RSSI threshold has not been exeeded. Terminates in a programmable timeout, this case 200us. This provides a very low average current of 86uA at 10 times a second Green = CC112x current Pink = TX Sync Cyan = RX Sync Blue = RX idle
4
Bad Preamble Quality In this example the TX did send a packet, but at an incorrect bit rate. The RX discovers that RSSI is OK But then discovers that the RF energy is not a preamble of expected data rate, etc... This provides a low average current of 300uA at 10 times a second Green = CC112x current Pink = TX Sync Cyan = RX Sync Blue = RX idle
5
Bad Sync word In this example the TX did send a packet, but with an incorrect syncword The RX discovers that RSSI is OK RX preamble is OK But Sync word is NOT OK and stops This provides a low average current of 430uA at 10 times a second Green = CC112x current Pink = TX Sync Cyan = RX Sync Blue = RX idle
6
Good data burst, passed all checks
In this example the TX did sent good packet The RX discovers that RSSI is OK RX preamble is OK Sync word is OK Continues to recieve the entire packet This provides a low average current of 3mA at 10 times a second Green = CC112x current Pink = TX Sync Cyan = RX Sync Blue = RX idle
