Local proliferation of infiltrating circulating memory T cells. Mice were seeded with 107 in vitro activated gBT-I.CD45.1+ and OT-I.CD45.1+CD8+ T cells 30 days before the engraftment of either a naive or a HSV-1 latently infected DRG. On day 7 posttransplantation, mice were given BrdU (i.p.) for 1 h before harvesting the graft, spleen, blood, and kidney draining LN and determining the BrdU incorporation by circulating memory CD8+ T cells. A, Flow cytometry profiles are gated on circulating memory CD8+ T cells (CD45.1+CD8+). OT-I and gBT-I were differentiated based on Vβ8 expression.
