Student Behaviors Be prompt Be prepared
Be ready to learn when class begins. Be prepared Have materials with you and know due dates. Be a polite and positive participant Speak in a normal tone of voice, and listen attentively. Be productive Turn in work on time, and always do your best. Be a problem solver Correct problems quickly and peacefully before they escalate.

Responsibility for Coursework
Bring notebook, textbooks, folder, and appropriate writing tools to class EVERYDAY. Know due dates, and submit all coursework on time. Assignments and other important information will also be on website

Classroom Procedures How should I enter the classroom?
Enter the classroom quietly and quickly, find your seat and get organized. Once seated, immediately start working on the “Bell-Work” that will be presented on the projector or as a worksheet. There will ALWAYS be work for you to begin when entering my classroom. Be responsible and prepared to work ASAP!!!!!!

Classroom Procedures How should I hand in homework/class work?
Have the assignment out on your desk when I ask for it. I will either walk around the room to collect and put it in the class period bin, or I will ask you to put your work into the appropriate bin. If you finish a class assignment before others, please raise your hand and ask for permission to put your work in the class period bin. Do not get on my floor !!!!!!!!!!

Classroom Procedures What should I do if I’m absent?
Look for your missing work on website If you have questions about the work, please speak to after class. You have one day to turn in the work for full credit for every day absent. It is YOUR responsibility to find out what you missed, NOT MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Classroom Procedures What should I do when I finish early? Read
Work on other assignments use a classroom computer to work or research topics

When is it OK to talk? Talking is encouraged during partner and group activities. However, yelling and loud conversations are not. Classroom discussions with permission. Quietly asking a neighbor for help on an assignment. However, when I’m addressing the class, it is very important that you are listening and vice versa.

Raising your hand How should you indicate that you have to use the restroom, or get out of your seat to throw something away of sharpen your pencil? Do not interrupt me or the class while I am speaking. Quietly raise your hand and I will give you permission when it is appropriate. Never sharpen your pencil when I or someone else is speaking. Students fill out hallway passes and I sign. Do not abuse your privilege to use the bathroom must go before class. Put your hand over your nose if you need tissue.

In need of tissue Raise your hand. Once I acknowledge you, please cover your nose with your hands. You shouldn’t have to speak. By covering your nose, you’re telling me that you need to get up and get a tissue. I will nod yes and you may then get up and get tissue. Please do this with out interrupting the class.

Classroom Procedures How should I exit the classroom?
The clock does NOT dismiss you, I do. I will dismiss once I am done with my lesson. Please pick up all waste off the floor prior to leaving. Gather your materials.

What happens if I don’t follow these simple procedures?
Refer to Mr. Euell ’s behavior expectations and class policies sheet for appropriate consequences. All SCS School policies and procedures will be followed during class time and in the hallways.

What happens if I follow these simple procedures?
You will be a successful student. Extra credit opportunities. Extra hallway pass to the bathroom Allowed to change seats. Make Mr. Euell very proud to be your teacher.

Policies Food and beverages are not allowed in the classroom. This includes GUM!!!!!! Please be in your seat and ready to begin work immediately upon entering the classroom. All of these expectations and policies remain in effect with a guest teacher. I will issue consequences upon my return, if expectations are not meant. CELL PHONES ARE NOT ALLOWED IN CLASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! REPEAT, CELL PHONES ARE NOT ALLOWED IN CLASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Pledge to Students I will trust you until you give me reason to do otherwise. I will respect you and work with you to solve problems. I will promptly correct and offer feedback on your work. I will work with you to meet learning goals. I will offer extra help and alternative assessments should you require them.
