Grading Scale Grading A 90-100% B 80-89% C 70-79% D 60-69% F Below 59% Students complete rigorous self-assessments and peer grading assignments as a regular part of the course. Each assignment goes into a category based on 5-week grading period. All grades and assignments can be viewed and accessed on Schoology. Please feel free to reach out to discuss grades at any time via phone or . Weights 30% Exams/Assessments 20% Quizzes Journals Classwork 10% Homework

Classroom Conduct Use respectful and appropriate language to communicate your needs. Participate in tasks and activities. Keep personal electronics silent and out of sight unless permission has been granted, or risk confiscation. Water only in the classroom. Take personal responsibility for keeping our space clean and safe for everyone. Follow SPHS rules and expectations for conduct at all times.

Classroom Behavior Interventions
Explicit verbal warning/reminder “_____________, this is your reminder to please remain quiet while others are reading.” Private conference with teacher In the hallway, typically involves verbally reflecting and considering the impact of behavior Buddy teacher and reflection letter Parent call home Students will go across the hall to Mr. Stout (125) to complete a reflection letter in 15 minutes Office referral Entered into student record, administrative follow-up

Attendance Policy Students who are absent should always message me to let me know within 24 hours. All assignments and agendas are posted on Schoology. Make-up work is due within 48 hours of return (unless there are extenuating circumstances). Absences cannot exceed 7/year per SPHS/LAUSD policy.
