May 2015 doc.: IEEE /0496r1 March 2018 Joint workshop of TG13 with ITU-T G.vlc Nikola and Volker attended the joint meeting Volker presented status and timeline of TG13 It needs permission from ITU-T General secretary to copy any text, creating own text is not considered as a good idea If G.hn PHY is intended to be used, suggested to use references IPR issues to be solved with SDO that owns the original text Exchange of drafts: ITU-T G.vlc members should get access to IEEE draft, TG13 members should get access to ITU-T G.vlc draft Interaction through comments and resolution in each group Q (WG Chair): What time TG13 goes to letter ballot? 6 Call for Evaluation results PM-PHY
May 2015 doc.: IEEE /0496r1 March 2018 Call for Evaluation results PM-PHY TG13 requests full or partial evaluation results for the PM-PHY text proposals. Major objective is to fix parameters and see the overall performance over realistic channel conditions. Evaluation results to be submitted together with updated proposals until April 27. May 2015 doc.: IEEE /0496r1 March 2018 Evaluation framework 1) Preamble Detection probability (for false alarm rate = 0.1%) vs. SNR (cf. doc /r0) and required SNR where prob. of misdetection (timing error) <0.1% 2) Header BER vs. SNR for the header incl. 8B10B and RS(36,24) coding assuming random data for the header information 3) Payload BER vs. SNR for the payload incl. 8B10B or HCM and RS(255,248) coding assuming random data for the payload Results are expected for AWGN, D3 in scenario 3 and D7 in scenario 4 (Fig. 25) where LED1-6 are used together from CIRs: a companion file. 8 TG13 Call for Proposals on OFDM-based PHYs
May 2015 doc.: IEEE /0496r1 March 2018 TG13 Call for Proposals on OFDM-based PHYs TG13 requests revised proposals for OFDM-based PHYs, in the agreed-upon writing style PPDU format, Preamble (Synchronization sequence, Channel estimation sequences), Header content, Header check sequence, Channel coding for the header, Channel coding for data with variable code rate, Scrambler, Interleaver Proposals shall be submitted until April 27 (for LB PHY) and July 1 (for HB PHY) and will be discussed at the meetings in Warsaw and San Diego, respectively.
