Progression Plan – Procurement Officer
Top Level (E) Role holder must demonstrate the competencies from the previous levels as well as being able to manage procurement processes up to the OJEU threshold (currently £164k). Performance: Shows all previous competencies and is now able to confidently challenge stakeholders if processes are not followed. Qualification: Must have completed CIPS Diploma. Mid Level (D) Role holder must demonstrate their ability to independently manage meetings with stakeholders and be able to confidently approach challenging conversations. Performance: Able to run independent processes up to a contract value of £100,00 compliantly and following the relevant process. Qualification: Must have completed CIPS Advanced Certificate and enrolled on & completed 2 units of CIPS Diploma. Entry Level (C) Appointed person must show commitment to learning the role. This will include coaching and mentoring from the Procurement Manager, attendance at seminars and other training opportunities. Performance: Must be able to understand procurement processes and procedures and offer explanation and advice to stakeholders when required for smaller projects (up to £50k in value) by the end of the probation period (6 months). Qualification: Must enrol on CIPS Advanced certificate training and complete all modules within 12 months of passing the probation period.
