Each oval represents the category of treatment or surgical procedure, and the percentages in the ovals indicate the proportion of women using a treatment in that category first. The most common type of treatment initially used is represented by the bold oval. The arrows represent the proportion of women who move on to the next treatment. Those arrows that are arced specify use of the same treatment or another treatment in the same category next. The bold arrows indicate the most popular next treatment.
