1 Hi All! Before we get started I want to make sure that everyone can hear me. If you can hear me please raise your hand. Okay great. Well it’s right around 3:00pm so let’s get started. Thanks for joining today. This presentation is going to cover all of the No Boundaries program details that we covered at Conference including the programs support structure and mentor program. Before we really dive down into the details… Did you guys know that we are currently executing the largest beginner 5k training program in the country? We helped over 10,000 participants cross the finish line in That’s astounding and you all deserve a round of applause! In 2010, we are entering our third year with No Boundaries. No Boundaries has become our most necessary and important marketing initiative as the program is driving sales, changing lives and fulfilling its single most important objective, acquiring new customers.

5 What to Wear? Appropriate footwear – the right FIT is critical!
Socks (non-cotton, moisture wicking) Inserts for footwear is often recommended Sports bra – properly fitted! Clothing made from technical fabrics Tops: short sleeve/tank Bottoms: Shorts or capris Layers Watch - stop watch or phone with interval timer We’ve updated the support structure this year because we know how difficult it is for you to run several programs throughout the year, while acquiring new customers as well as growing your business with New Balance when you are only being supported with product in the Spring. We want you to be supported proportionately! Based on an index that takes into account your Previous years New Balance Shipments, Previous Years New Balance Market Share, Number of Participants Expected for 2010 and Number of Total Programs in 2010 New Balance has distributed support funds into three buckets for each store: Product Support, Marketing Support and Mentor Support.

Heart Rate Monitor Body Glide for chafing Hat Sunglasses Sunscreen – apply one hour prior to workout Towel Change of clothes Trigger Point or other injury prevention tools We’ve updated the support structure this year because we know how difficult it is for you to run several programs throughout the year, while acquiring new customers as well as growing your business with New Balance when you are only being supported with product in the Spring. We want you to be supported proportionately! Based on an index that takes into account your Previous years New Balance Shipments, Previous Years New Balance Market Share, Number of Participants Expected for 2010 and Number of Total Programs in 2010 New Balance has distributed support funds into three buckets for each store: Product Support, Marketing Support and Mentor Support.

7 Safety & Etiquette Be seen and be alert!
Run against traffic if running on the road. If running on the sidewalk or multi-use trails, travel on the right and pass on the left. Never run more than two abreast if you are running in a group. Alert pedestrians when you are passing them–don’t assume they are aware of their surroundings. A simple “on your left” warning will suffice. The goal of the Mentor Program is to cultivate former participants turning them into program mentors and word of mouth marketing pros. In order to Acquire New Customers New Balance has provided you a “Mentor Support Allotment” that you will use to place $5.00 on a special No Boundaries gift card for each new customer that your mentor referrrs into the program . The mentor will be able to use the No Boundaries gift card to purchase new balance product in the store. This is fully funded by New Balance. Create a better Ratio- We know how frustrating it is for you to have to cap your program because you don’t feel you have all the resources and we all know that the coach to participant connection is the biggest factor in participant success and retention. We want to create a Top Notch Experience for all Participants and a connection for every participant who goes through the program. Our experience has shown that we need a coach to participant ratio of AT LEAST 1 to 10 but, we can and should do even better if we want to continue to elevate our program experience above and beyond other beginner 5k training programs.  Manage Growing Programs Create a Potential Funnel for Coaches- The Mentor Program may be the first step in creating coaches for our No Boundaries programs in the future.

8 Safety & Etiquette Stop at stop signs and ensure oncoming traffic yields to you before proceeding across a road. Don’t assume cars will stop if you are entering a cross walk. Cross in crosswalks whenever possible. Mentors will, by no means, be coaches but they will be able to understand the unique emotions within the program because they have been where new participants are, every step of the way. They are graduates of your program, your biggest brand advocates and can’t stop talking about the program and Fleet Feet Sports. Mentors will provide advice, share knowledge and experiences. They will be a source of information/knowledge, energy and inspiration and have an invested interest in the participants success.
