For those on a 5-year license
18 CEUs needed for renewal – 10 hrs = 1 CEU, 1 Sem hr = 3 CEUs
Purpose – to approve/process staff CEUs and assist in the license renewal process

Place to list all PD including group/staff day PD and individual activities – This is where approvals are made and CEUs are tabulated
List college credit in the Coursework list
Username – full
Password – 4 digits of phone number and first and last name initials capitalized (1234JK)

Contact Judy Krites if these are incorrect or name has changed
Have your CEUs been checked, updated –
Group PD updated occasionally – all updated as of 8/1/2019
Individual PD requires PD approval form and other paperwork

6. IPDP reminders
WE only use the paper copy of the IPDP found on the left side link of the tech page.
Requests were sent out for needed updates to IPDPS. If you haven’t rewritten one, a new one must be in my Oct 30. reminder - a new ipdp is needed each time you renew your license.
The LPDC uses IPDPs to confirm and approve PD as all PD should be able to match with an IPDP goal
Goals are to be written as to what you want to learn and how this will be accomplished, not what you are going to do in your classroom. I will learn…, I will investigate…, through coursework, webinars, etc.

7. Reminders from VWCS LPDC 2019
Consistently High performing teachers – Exempt from completing coursework or CEUs for the renewal process during a specific 5-year period (as per ODE eligibility) – Let LPDC know you are renewing using this process – 5 yr license, Accomplished 4/5 years, District level or higher award and/or committee 3/5 years.
Stop at 18 Ceus! There is no extra credit here
All PD is accumulated based on issue date of license, so renew early
Input dates, pd, info into the PDM thoroughly, concisely and correctly. We can’t approve what we can’t verify
GT ignite and PSW require transcript or certificate to verify they were completed

8. Reminders from vwcs lpdc 2019
Public School works CEU credit will be given on a yearly basis with transcript
Gifted training will be given on a yearly basis dependent on completion of activities
All listed pd was checked this summer with 3 possible outcomes
Approved
Not approved – explanation is given if you click on the title link
Blank – paperwork is still needed from you or administration, no additional CEUs are needed, out of date

9. Final LPDC thoughts
All PD must now be listed on the PDM and turned in within a year of completion
All corresponding paperwork should be turned in as soon as PD has been listed
Help sessions – To be scheduled October 29 and 31 in the Elem and HS/MS
Other meeting dates when paperwork will be checked - Wednesdays 3:45 – 5pm in HS Rm 111
– January 22, February 5, March 4, April 1, May 6, and June 3 time and place to be announced
Those renewing this year (2020) should have already been notified
