2. Background Teshie Faced Lots of Challenges in WASH services
Inadequate Supply of Potable Water
No Collaboration with Service Provider
No communication between Community and Service Provider
Took long time to respond to calls on pipe burst etc

The service provider now respond to calls from the community
Improved collaboration with GWCL
Water Supply now better than previous supply – now community is on rationing programme and community now know when to get water

To ensure quality WASH services provision to community members.

Poor WASH service delivery in communities in Teshie
Non – enforcement of bye-laws
Poor communication on WASH service by service providers.
High rate open defecation and flying toilets in community

8. Achievements Opening of payment point in community for water bills.
Letters to LEMKA on lack of water supply in schools in the community
Meeting with Ghana Urban water limited on need to provide information on services and programme for the community .
Community support gain

9. Challenges Inadequate financial resources to scale up activities.
Inability to reach service providers and Assembly on phone.
High transportation cost and time consuming in following up on letters.
Lack of communication equipment to support public education and information
