Learning Focus
Reading: Retelling stories using key details, characters, setting, fiction, non-fiction, making text connections
Writing: Informational, writing how-to books. Rereading, making writing easy to read using a checklist, writing middle sounds, using sight words in our writing.
Math: Investigating Addition and Subtraction.
Phonics: Reviewing long vowel sounds, blending and reading words, listening for beginning, middle, and ending sounds within words, segmenting and blending phonemes, and manipulating sounds within words
Social Studies: American Symbols; Economics (needs vs. wants)
Science: Living/ Nonliving; Plants and Animals
