3. vowel diagraph/ vowel team syllable
Has 2 vowels together that represent one sound.
Two vowels go walking and the first one does the talking. The vowel sound is long.
Ex: meat
(The “a” makes the e say it’s name.)
Examples: plain toe bait
Exception: create = cre ate
(the ea is split into different syllables making them both long)

4. Word work
Write this week’s word work words in your journal. Skip 2 lines in between each word.
Then label each word;
