Tips: Preparing for senate faculty searches
The Search Guide & AP Recruit Manual are your friends The Advertisement Checklist is your BFF (please don’t recycle advertisements from previous years) Search committees will need to put a lot of thought into the Selection Criteria and Selection Plan – detailed description Refer committees to the Search Guide Search Committee Chairs can enter portions of the Search Plan directly

Reminders: What to do after the search opens?
Many search committee members (or faculty PIs) need information about using AP Recruit Assess incoming applicants for the basic qualifications and assign a disposition reason for those who do not meet Respond to applicant, referee, and committee questions Upload ad evidences and enter search and recruitment efforts Keep applicant statuses up-to-date Submit the applicant pool report for senate searches a.s.a.p.

Lecturer pools & non-senate searches
Updates to Advertisement Checklist All non-senate searches are open until filled. Leave the IRD out of the advertisement (AP Recruit will state). Search reports for lecturer pools – what area was needed, who was considered? Outreach for small pools or those with many areas Finishing the search – final applicant statuses!
