2 Objective To develop a hands-on lesson plan introducing pre-university students (ages 8-18) to the exciting world of standards. The lesson would be published on TryEngineering.org and any relevant Standards Education Web sites. 11/12/2019

3 TryEngineering.org Engineering education portal for pre-university teachers, school counselors, parents, & students. Launched in 2006 with IBM and the NY Hall of Science. Career preparation information, career profiles, accredited degree program search, student opportunities, lesson plans, games and more… Available in 9 languages. 11.9 million page hits & over 1.4 million unique visitors in 2012. Nearing 10 million lesson plan download mark. TryEngineering.org is IEEE’s pre-university engineering education portal for teachers, school counselors, parents, & students. The portal was launched in TryEngineering.org was developed in partnership with IBM and the NY Hall of Science. Visitors can explore engineering by learning about various engineering disciplines, how to prepare for a career in engineering, and by reading profiles of engineers and engineering students. Visitors can also find information about engineering camps, scholarships, and research programs. TryEngineering.org has a university search application where visitors can find accredited engineering programs at 3,214 institutions in 60 countries. TryEngineering.org is currently in nine Languages – Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. 11/12/2019
