Diploma Types and Testing Requirements (1)
All students require 23 credits for a diploma Testing requirements impact diploma type Changes issued by New York State Education Department (NYSED) Changes are monitored by the Guidance and Counseling Department Specific scenarios will be addressed on a case by case basis as students proceed through high school

General Requirements Local Diploma Regents Diploma Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation (Advanced Regents Diploma)

Local Diploma (1) This option is available to students who receive the safety net on their 504 Accommodation Plan or IEP. To qualify for a Local Diploma, students must minimally score between a on their Regents Examinations.

Local Diploma (2) This option is available to students who receive the safety net on their 504 Accommodation Plan or IEP. Students must score a 55 or higher on the English and Mathematics Regents Examinations. Students can attain Regents Examination scores of in Global History and Geography, United States History and Government, and a Science Regents Examination but must compensate with scores higher than 65 on other Regents Examinations.

Local Diploma (3) For All High School Students
2 Regents Examinations with a score of for which appeals have been granted by the district with remaining Regents Examinations with a score above 65.

Attendance Organization Homework folder Locker Backpack Write down all classwork and homework in a notebook/calendar Check off work when complete Write the date down when you turn in the work Complete all homework and assignments

Study for quizzes and exams over multiple days Ask questions/Seek help from teachers Time Management Study hall 2:30-3:15 Get involved with extra-curricular activities (and keep track of them!) Student Data Sheet WAVE Hours (10 hours per year/40 total) School year begins on July 1, 2019

Late August at 6 pm in the Auditorium 9th graders will receive their schedules Discussion of graduation requirements and expectations for high school Ask questions regarding high school programs Tours of building by National Honor Society Goal-Ease transition for 9th graders Total time of program-30 minutes
