1 “That Your Joy May Be Full”
1 John 1:3-4

2 “That Your Joy May Be Full”
There is joy in salvation (Isaiah 12:2-3; 1 Peter 1:8-9) Thus there is joy in baptism! (Acts 8:39; 16:33-34) There is joy in trial It produces patience (James 1:2-4) It glorifies God (1 Peter 1:6-7) It manifests His power in us (Col. 1:10-11)

3 “That Your Joy May Be Full”
There is joy in death (Acts 20:23-34; Philippians 1:21; Rev. 14:13) There is joy in the Holy Spirit It is the essence of the Kingdom (Rom. 14:17) It comes from receiving and believing God’s word (1 Thess. 1:6; Neh. 8:9-12; Rom 15:13) Joy can be experienced in salvation, in trials, in death, and in the Holy Spirit. Full joy is spiritual; we find it in fellowship with Jesus.

4 “That Your Joy May Be Full”
Joy is spiritual. It is grounded outside of oneself. It is as simple and as everlasting as fellowship with Jesus Christ. “That which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you that your joy may be full.” (1 John 1:3-4)   “You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” (Psalm 16:11)
