He was unwilling to obey
He turned away from the Lord
He sought his own glory
He blamed others, did not take responsibility
He was self-righteous

He valued religion over obedience
He was in rebellion
He had an exaggerated sense of his own importance
He feared people more than he did God

5. “The Lord has torn your kingdom from you today”

6. Why Does God Hate Disobedience?
It elevates ‘me’ over God
It elevates my pleasure above God’s pleasure
It elevates the fear of man instead of the fear of God
I do not give glory, honor, and worship to God

Then He said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.” (New Living Translation) *you must give up your own way (Young’s Literal Translation) *let him disown himself

Romans 5 (NLT) 18 Yes, Adam’s one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ’s one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone. 19 Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous.
