Not All Can Receive The Truth (Mt. 19:11)
I. SOME TRY THE LORD (19:3). A. Sinful trying of God (Deut. 6:16; Ex. 17:7; Num. 14:1-4) 1. Lacked faith in spite of evidence! 2. Looked for easier way, rather than the right way. B. Righteous trying of God (Judges 6:17-24, 36-40) 1. Sought evidence for their faith. 2. Accepted truth, even when it was difficult. C. Application: 1. Do we pray for stronger faith, but set aside our Bibles (Rom. 12:2)? 2. Do we profess sincerity, maturity, faithfulness, yet neglect things that prove it (2 Cor. 8:8)?

If one divorces the other (not for fornication) he sins (19:6, 9a). 2. If mutually agree to divorce (not for fornication) both sin (19:6, 9a). 3. Any divorce (not for fornication), involves all who remarry in adultery (19:9a & b). 4. Only the spouse who puts away the fornicator can remarry with God’s approval (19:9a).
