2. How Earth Moves
It takes Earth exactly one year to make one complete trip around the Sun!
At the start of a new year, Earth is in the same position in relation to the Sun as it was at the start of the year before.

3. How Earth Moves
While orbiting the Sun, Earth also turns on an imaginary line called an axis. With each rotation, or turn, on Earth axis, there is one period of daylight and one period of night.
The tilt of the Earth on its axis and its orbit around the Sun cause Earth’s seasons.
