4 Eastvalley Eagle Chorus! Performance Field Trip
Disney World Performance Field Trip Information Session Feb 25-29, 2020

5 Disney World without me?
Why would I want my child to go to Disney World without me? Rare experience—only superior groups are selected No pressure to be “cool” Bonding experience to synergize with your classmates to create a remarkable performance

6 Who is watching my child?
We expect chaperon groups to be four or fewer children per adult. There will be no more than six students per chaperon. We have over 15 parents interested in chaperoning. Dr Bernard, Mrs. Steinheimer, and Mr. Foster will float between groups Constant adult supervision Note: Cobb County policy states chaperons must refrain from use of alcohol or tobacco on field trips, even when “off duty.”

7 Are students counted “present” at school on a trip of this nature?
Yes! We have a study guide that addresses the state academic standards.

8 Where would we perform? Disney will assign us a venue in a theme park or Disney Springs.

9 Can I come watch if I’m not a chaperon?
I’d discourage this because your child isn’t allowed to leave the group on a field trip. If you’re there, your child may want to spend time with you away from our group, and that’s against policy.

10 What if my child takes medication regularly?
An Eastvalley staff member will dispense the medication to your child on the prescribed schedule.

11 Has this ever been done before?
Dr Bernard has spent 31 days in the last five years on overnight student field trips.
