The Riggins Report Classroom News for the week of September 16-20, 2019 What we’re learning: Notes: Another awesome week is upon us! Here’s a quick look at what we’re working on… Word Study: We will be reviewing open, closed, and VCe syllable types. Reading: We will be learning all about text features this week. Our focus will shift to non fiction books. Math: We are continuing on with Module 3. Place value is the focus, including number forms such as standard, unit, and expanded form. Science: We will begin our study of seed dispersal this week. We will be observing and investigating several real seeds. If you have any seeds you can send, I would appreciate it! Writing: We are continuing our focus on narrative writing. Please see the letter about our “Raising Readers” program in your child’s folder.
