Here’s the idea Adverbs Modify
An adverb is a word that modifies a verb, an adjective, or another adverb. Adverbs Modify Verbs: Bob walked quickly. Adjectives : Nick has a very red balloon. Other adverbs: Mandy ran extremely fast.

Adverbs answer 4 Questions:
Where? Here, there, up, ahead When? Today, never, now, later, soon How? Slowly, fast, suddenly, sadly To what extent? Too, very, completely, fully

Adverbs can appear in different positions in sentences
The tourists boarded the bus eagerly. (after the verb) The tourists eagerly boarded the bus. (before the verb) Eagerly, the tourists boarded the bus. (at the beginning)
