2. Changes in the short term within our portfolio of homes
Increased provision of palliative care beds
Increased provision of dementia care beds including assessment beds
Provision of more intermediate care beds in homes geographically closer to acute care settings

3. Educational needs required
All FSHC nursing and support staff will require additional and/or revised clinical skills-
i.e. prior to and following any reregistration of bed provision within the homes there will need to be-
Review of current educational provision to the home
Change of training provision to the homes and enabling staff who need to be trained/ up skilled to have access to different types of training-
distance , face to face and /or experiential learning and support.
Continued collaboration with the Trust areas on particular areas e.g. syringe driver use etc.
