WMS EO extension revisions
The principle revision was the addition of an Abstract Test Suite (ATS). Development of the ATS and review (Spacebel, GIM) highlighted a number of additional minor issues to be addressed: A few typographic errors; Clarification that collection level properties are held at the Group Layer level (and inherited by any nested layers); Addition of sub-section on outline map presentation. WMS EO extension status
Updated WMS - Extension for EO Products (OGC r1) was presented to the ESS-DWG at the OGC Valencia TC in December 2008. TC plenary approved move to an e-vote as an OGC Best Practice document. In consultation with GIM and Spacemetric, it was agreed to remove the mandatory requirement for ‘nearestValue’ and ‘current’ parameters. These revert back to optional, as per the base WMS specification. The WMS EO extension update (OGC r1) is now waiting for the formal e-vote results. Reference implementation has proceeded with the development of selection of individual wavebands, using Deegree as a WMS server front-end to MapServer. Slide 8
