1. Truth & Error: How to Tell the Difference
We learn the difference between truth and error by regularly handling the truth. This enables us to recognize error when we are presented with it.

2. We Learn Truth By Exposure To It
We learn things through experiencing them (Isaiah 7:15)
We learn spiritual truths by experience with God’s word (John 17:17; Hebrews 5:12-14)

3. We Make an Effort to Experience the Things we Enjoy
God’s word was enjoyable to the Psalmist (Ps. 119: )
It enabled him to know the difference between truth & error (Psalm 119:128; Acts 17:11)

4. How to Tell the Difference Between Truth & Error
Be aware that error exists, and it is not easy to detect (Matthew 7:15; 1 John 3:7; 2:26)
Do NOT BELIEVE Every Spirit! (1 John 4:1-6)
Test the Spirits! (1 John 4:1-6; Thess. 5:21-22; Titus 1:9)
