The BIAS OUR SCIENCE PROJECT
2
QUESTION DO OUR COLOR OUR PREFERENCES AFFECT OUR CHOICES ?
3
purpose The purpose of this investigation is to determine if our color preferences affect our choices. This is important because if I owned a store, I would want to fill it with my customer’s favorite colors in order to sell as much as I could.
4
hypothesis WE HYPOTHSIZE THAT COLOR PREFERENCES DO MATTER. WE BELIEVE PICKING YOUR FAVORITE COLOR IS TIED TO SPECIFIC THINGS, LIKE TASTE. IF WE HAD A JAR OF M&M’S PEOPLE MAY PICK THEIR FAVORITE FLAVOR, NOT COLOR.

variables MANUPLATED –OBJECTS RESPONDING –ESTIMATE CONSTANT- NUMBER OF OBJECTS IN A JAR AND THE NUMBER OF OBJECTS PICKED OUT OF EACH TRAIL

DIRECTIONS 1. GET A CLEAR JAR AND FILL IT WITH SNAP CUBES
2. ASK TEST SUBJECTS TO PICK TEN 3. RECORD THEIR COLOR PICKS 4. ASK THEM WHAT THEIR FAVORITE COLOR IS. RECORD. REPEAT STEPS 1-4 WITH SKITTLES REPEAT STEPS 1-4 WITH GRAM CUBES REPEAT STEPS 1-4 WITH PAPER CLIPS DETERMINE THE PRECENTIGE OF ESTIMATERS THAT PICKED THEIR FAVORITE COLOR THE MOST IN EACH TRAIL.

conclusion Our hypothesis was correct. Color preferences does not affect your choices. 38% of the people chose their favorite color. If we did this experiment again, we would change favorite color to favorite taste because if people eat food they have to have a favorite taste. In my opinion, we should do this experiment again. Instead of using objects, we would use food.
