5. What is Worship?
The activity of glorifying God in His presence with our voices and hearts
The direct expression of our ultimate purpose for living – “to fully glorify God and enjoy Him forever.’”
To pay homeage, show reverence, to kneel before, bow down, to fall down
It is the outward display of our inward belief

6. We want to look at 4 words
IN Spirit
IN Truth

7. v. 20 – “Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.”

8. v. 21 – “Woman, Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain or in Jerusalem.”
v.22 – “You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know for salvation is from the Jews.”

9. v. 23 – “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.”
v. 24 – “God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.”

10. IN SPIRIT – HOW DO WE WORSHIP IN SPIRIT?
Spiritual Life
You can worship whenever/wherever
Everything within you engaged – heart & mind

11. Romans 12:1 – “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God – this is your true and proper worship.”
