2. Negative effects of war on women's economic development and the VSLA approach in particular
To solve problems with internal displacement, CARE DRC has connected VSLA networks from stable areas to networks in unstable areas.
At present, displaced households received by 457 trained host families from 47 VSLA networks, especially in the territories of Nyiragongo, Rutshuru, Lubero and Masisi, which are most affected by armed conflict.

3. Signing of social cohesion agreements as a social protection mechanism
For DRC, the signing of the conventions is considered as a social protection mechanism through which two networks commit themselves to develop and maintain their social cohesion.
At present, 68 networks have signed 34 agreements and have received financial support from the GEWEP equivalent to a total budget of $34,000 to initiate IGAs in order to strengthen their economic capacity to cope with shocks.
Networking has also fostered the development of trade links between networks by creating value chains and multiplying the impact of social cohesion.

4. Conflict resolution

5. Major challenges: natural disasters and insecurities
