3. Red Riding Hood is a 2011 American dark, fantasy ,thriller and horror film directed by Catherine Hardwicke, produced by Leonardo Di Caprio and starring Amanda Seyfried as the title role, from a screenplay by David Leslie Johnson.
The film is very loosely based on the folk tale Little Red Riding Hood collected by both Charles Perrault under the name “Le Petit Chaperon Rouge" (Little Red Riding Hood) and several decades later by the Brothers Grimm as “Rotkäppchen" (Little Red Cap).

4. Amanda Seyfried as Valerie
Valerie , is the main character of Red Riding Hood. She is 17 years old and the youngest daughter of a woodchopper in a small isolated village in the mountains.
Her village has a tradition of sacrificing their best livestock every full moon to appease the Wolf, who agreed to leave them alone if they did so. This agreement had been kept between the village and the wolf, for two generations. Until now…One day Valerie’s sister is discovered to have been killed by the wolf near the outskirts of the village. Valerie soon realizes that she has a special connection to the wolf.

5. Shiloh Thomas Fernandez as Peter
Peter is a woodcutter in Red Riding Hood and Valerie’s love interest.
Peter has been friends with Valerie since childhood. He is in love with her, but Valerie’s parents have arranged for her to marry Henry. Valerie and Peter plan to run away together, but the Wolf murdered Lucie, who is revealed to have had a crush on Henry. Valerie believes him to be the Wolf.

Lucie is 18 years old and the oldest daughter of Suzette and Adrian L., although she believes her father to be Cesaire. She is in love with Henry, her half-brother and she is killed by Cesaire in wolf form when he discovers she is not his daughter.

8. Billy Burke as Cesaire
Cesaire is Valerie’s father and he is also the Wolf. He is married to
Suzette and he kills Lucie when he finds out that she is not really
his daughter but she is Adrian’s daughter. Finally he is killed by
Peter and Valerie, but not before he bit Peter.

9. Julie Christie as Grandmother
Her husband was the Wolf too. She finds out that her son is
the Wolf when she smells something strange. That smell makes her remind her husband.

10. Gary Oldman as father Solomon
Father Solomon is a witch-hunter who tries to catch the wolf. He
murdered his wife because she was a werewolf. When he tries to
kill the wolf, he bites his hand off. Father Solomon is killed by one
of his soldiers so that he will not turn into a wolf himself.
