Mid 1980’s. Hamas and Hezbollah founded. Hamas based in West Bank and Gaza Strip. Over the last 25 yrs. both have led frequent and violent attacks killing many civilians in the crossfire.
1978 Camp David Accords – Gave Sinai Peninsula back to Egypt. Israeli Prime Minister Begin, Pres. Jimmy Carter, Egyptian Pres. Anwar Sadat. Other Arab countries stopped doing business with Egypt.
2006 War breaks out between Hezbollah and Israel: Hezbollah kidnapped 2 Israeli soldiers and killed 8 others; Israel responded with full scale attacks.
