In the Careers Zone you discover a wide range of possible careers in science and engineering right from the people who’ve been there: Real scientists and engineers based all over the country.

Familiarise yourself with the website before you brief students.

Log into computers 5-10 minutes before live chat to make sure everything works.

Write your username in your planner so you can use it again at home.
Before the chat:
Find out about the people by reading their profiles.

5. STUDENT INFORMATION During the chat:
Click at the top of the page to join the chat.
Click on an expert’s name (bottom of page) to tag them before you start typing your question – this makes sure they see it.
Click on someone’s comment to reply to it.
Don’t write in capital letters, spam or be rude or you will be blocked from the chat by your teacher.
