Write a well-developed paragraph in which you use ideas from both “They Live the Dream” and “Lifelong Dreamer” to establish a controlling idea about achieving the American Dream. Develop your answer using specific examples and details from both passages.

4. Choose a specific literary element (theme, characterization, narration, setting) used by one of the authors. Use specific details from either “They Live the Dream,” or “Lifelong Dreamer,” in a well-developed paragraph, show how the author uses the element or technique to develop the passage.
