Goal of the Grant To collaborate and use data, collected from multiple sources, to move the learning forward for all students in our regions. Collaboration included Gonzaga University ESD 171 –included 9 districts ESD 101 -included 9 districts

Purpose of Feedback To improve the student To improve the work

Effective feedback in the form of descriptive and prescriptive comments should lead students to judge the quality of their work and to monitor themselves. Descriptive: “Good explanation. You are providing data as evidence to support your claim.” Prescriptive: “Do you have a claim? Where is your evidence?” These comments help the student to improve in their writing No scores

•Develops ideas for topics orally and visually (e.g., discusses, draws, and/or writes to develop ideas). •Develops and chooses from a list of general topics for writing (e.g., pets, friends, favorite places).
